| About the ProjectThe J.C.C.C.H.P.* was formed to research and reveal the assistance of the Church to Canadian citizens of Japnese descent, from the earliest immigrants, to the end of the second world war. It was created to address a deficit in commonly known history in both the Japanese-Canadian and the church community. The seeds of this project were sown at the dawn of the 1990s, when Vancouver's 50 year memorial of the war-internment of Japanese-Canadians failed to include any mention of the contribution of the churches. Realizing that this indicated a need for raised awareness, the J.C.C.C.H.P. was created with the support of the following organizations:
