Pastor Ray Ebisuzaki

Hi, my name is Ray and I have a passion for Jesus' Great Commission which is effective evangelism and effective discipleship.

I have a dual Canadian-American citizenship and my Christian experience reflects this. I became a Christian at the University of Toronto and went to Bible College in Toronto with Canada Christian College.

After this, I went to Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (which is in the Boston area) where I received an M.A. in World Missions & Evangelism. During this time I served as a pastor in an American Baptist church. When I returned to Canada, I worked as a youth pastor in a Korean church for about 4 years. And then after this, I have been very blessed to serve at Japanese Gospel Church of Toronto since the end of 1999.

I am also very grateful to the Lord for my dear wife, Minako, and our 2 children, Sean & Christy.

  Meet Our Japanese Pastor

Pastor Haruo Sato

 

Hi, my name is Haruo Sato.  I am an associate pastor of the Japanese Gospel Church of Toronto overseeing the Japanese congregation. 

I was born in Japan and thought that I was a Buddhist just because my family was Buddhist. 

However more than twenty years ago, I became acquainted with Jesus Christ through a friend of mine.   It took me quite a while to get to know Christ well and as a friend. 

After I started having devotions every morning, my relationship with Him year after year grew closer and closer.  And now, I love Him.  I cannot live without Him. 

And I would like people to know how wonderful life is with Jesus Christ.  He died for my sin and rose from the dead after three days and as a precedent to my resurrection.  He will be coming back to this world. 

I am looking forward to seeing Him face to face.  Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”  He is my Lord and Savior. 

  Meet Our Youth Pastor

Pastor Kevin Ueta

Hi, my name is Kevin Ueta and I would like to introduce myself as the Intern Youth Pastor at the Japanese Gospel Church of Toronto.

It has been an extreme blessing to be involved in a ministry and church that I feel so passionate about.

At the Japanese Gospel Church of Toronto, our vision for the Young Peoples ministry is to build up a youth group of Christ-following disciples who are willing to engage and challenge the world around them as they seek to fulfill the Great Commission wherever they may be in their lives.

Working closely with the Saltshakers (Young People Executive team), we strive to come up with ways to minister to the youth in fun, engaging, and challenging ways.

I currently reside in Richmond Hill, along with my wife Michelle, and my second love, my Ernie Ball Musicman Sterling 4-string bass guitar in a black on black finish.
